How Efficient is Your Cardiovascular System?

By now if you've read my other posts, you're familiar with the benefits I've experienced from switching to a whole food plant-based diet just over a year ago, including better health, weight loss, and more energy.
I just experienced something totally unexpected while downhill skiing that I thought was quite remarkable! I love to ski moguls and have never been able to make it down a mogul run without stopping at least three or four times to catch my breath from making all the turns. On my first time out on the slopes this season, not only did I ski mogul runs multiple times from top to bottom, chair to chair nonstop, I wasn't even the slightest bit winded or out of breath!!! That's never happened before!!!

My fitness level has been the same for at least the last five years; the only thing that's changed since the last time I skied is that I eat only whole, plant-based foods (no animal-based foods). I suppose that I've just seen for the first time a drastic change in how efficiently my cardiovascular system works when there's nothing there to clog my arteries!!!
